Startus Insights, an independent data analytics company, has announced EMSOL as one of the leading start-ups that can advance the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Specifically, EMSOL was named in the top 5 worldwide to address and have an impact on achieving SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities & Communities.

SDG 11 covers the goal to achieve more “sustainable cities and communities” and is one of 17 Sustainable Development Goals established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015. As many cities have set goals to radically reduce pollution or become carbon-neutral over the next couple of decades, there is a huge push towards more sustainable, efficient, and clean practices, and technology solutions will be critical for achieving these aims.

Startus Insights’ platform holds details on over 2 million start-ups & scale-ups. In assessing their database of start-ups, Startus selected 3,365 companies who can help tackle sustainability challenges. EMSOL has since been selected as one of the top companies in this category.

Startus Insights highlighted EMSOL’s capability of providing “real-time data on vehicular pollution to fleet owners and corporates, supporting them to reduce emissions’ ‘. This is critical for organisations looking to achieve sustainable operations across their business. EMSOL’s targeted pollution insights provide transparency on the impact of company fleet and third-party supply, enabling proactive opportunities to reduce emissions.

Freddie Talberg, Founder and CEO of EMSOL said “We’re thrilled to have been recnogised by Startus Insights, especially as we were featured in two of their top 5 lists – out of the 3,365 companies that they analysed. We truly believe that EMSOL provides an innovative approach for businesses looking to address their sustainability goals and make real reductions from transport pollution. It is fantastic to have our work recognised”.
